Meet Our Team
Nkechi Asekomhe
Nkechi practices in the areas of Personal Injury Law, Real Estate Law, Corporate / Commercial Law, Wills and Estate Law, Employment Law, Family Law and Immigration Law. She provides strategic advice to clients to minimize litigation risks and fearlessly advocates for her clients. She has appeared before several levels of courts, administrative and regulatory tribunals in Alberta and Ontario. Nkechi was called to the Alberta Bar in 2017. She completed her Articles at a reputable law firm in Calgary that focused on championing legal compensation claims in Class Actions, Personal Injury and Insurance Law. Prior to this, Nkechi worked as an Employment Law Consultant in Manchester, England and as an Associate Lawyer at a corporate law firm in Lagos, Nigeria. Nkechi was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2002 and has over 18 years experience as a Lawyer. She volunteers with Calgary Legal Guidance and Pro-bono Law Alberta and enjoys spending time with her family.
Fatima Modupe
Fatima is an internationally trained lawyer with over 20 years of practice experience across Family Law, Immigration Law, Corporate Law and Real Estate. She is a Legal Aid Albert roster lawyer, a member of the Association of Women Lawyers (Calgary) and the Advocates’ Society.
She is also a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC), a registered member of the College of Citizenship and Immigration Consultants (CCIC) and the Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants (CAPIC).
Fatima obtained a Bachelor of Law degree in 2002 and Master of Laws degree in 2008. She was called to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2003 and the Alberta Bar in 2024.
Fatima began her career at the Legal Aid Office in Calabar, Nigeria, and later moved into private practice. Her professional journey also includes 13 years as an Education Consultant for overseas placements, where she developed strong client management skills and a deep understanding of navigating complex international processes.
Known for her client-focused approach, Fatima works diligently to provide efficient, practical, and cost-effective solutions to help clients achieve their legal goals.
When she is not working, Fatima enjoys travelling, spending quality time with family and friends, and cycling whenever the weather allows.
